Off-grid Hunter Valley cabins on a 150-acre farm, tucked into a quiet corner near Wollombi. Built for slowing right down.

Set on 150 acres of rolling hills and bushland, The Bower and The Burrows are two self-contained cabins made for doing very little, and doing it well. Wake to birdsong and paddock views. Walk the trails before breakfast. Spend the evening beside your own firepit, under more stars than you'll see from anywhere near a city.

You're genuinely out here, off-grid, solar-powered, no passing traffic but you're not cut off. Wollombi village is fifteen minutes down the road, the wineries at Broke around twenty, and Pokolbin's cellar doors and long lunches about thirty-five.

Most guests arrive with a full inbox and a plan to check it just once. Most forget.

Meet the welcoming committee. You'll probably meet Hamish and Fergus before you've unpacked. Our two Highland cows, (Fergus is the red one, Hamish the woolly white), have quietly appointed themselves head of grounds-keeping and guest relations.

They're gentle, endlessly photogenic, and always keen to see who's arrived.

The Bower and The Burrows are our two Hunter Valley cabins. Each sleep two, with a queen bed, a full kitchen, a wood fire pit and a covered deck for eating outside. Choose one for a couples' escape, or take both if you're travelling as a group who still likes their own front door.

Each cabin has its own page with the full run-down, have a look here and see which one feels like your kind of quiet.
